Janet Akin-James brings a wealth of experience to all her real estate transactions. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, she held executive positions in the telecommunications and on-line software industries where she managed the marketing, sales and services divisions for several global companies, including Pacific Bell, SBC and 2Bridge Software. Not surprisingly, she leverages the skills and insight she gained from these diverse experiences on each and every client transaction.
Janet approaches every client's marketing plan, sales strategy, contract negotiations, and support efforts no differently than she approached the numerous multi-national sales contracts -- with speed, focus, precision and perhaps most importantly -- respect and integrity.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Golden Gate University.
She is a member of the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R.), California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.), Santa Clara County Association of Realtors (S.C.C.A.O.R.) and REInfolink Multiple Listings Service.
Janet is currently studying for her Real Estate Broker license.
Janet is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Vice President and Development Committee Chair for the Lincoln Foundation in San Jose. She is also an active mentor for young people in transition, most recently mentoring a group of students in the Future Vision Program at Lincoln High School in San Jose.
