- He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC in 1971, specializing in Urban Land Economics and is currently a member of the UBC Okanagan Senate
- Since 1971 Gary has been involved in virtually every type of real estate transaction and is experienced in the rezoning, development and subdivision of lands in the Central Okanagan.
- He is also a qualified Previews Marketing Specialist, a worldwide marketing system for luxury properties.
