Chaired the Community Orientation Program for the Chamber of Commerce, designed for new business leaders moving to Sarasota
Background: Graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in English, taught high school in Westfield, NJ, moved to Pittsburgh and began a real estate career. Relocated to Sarasota in 1972 and began a real estate career in 1973
Success: In 1975, started General Realty, one of the leading real estate companies in the area, selling to a nationally-known company in 1987. Continued as a top producer with Prudential Florida, later Coldwell Banker. In the early 1990s hosted an informative local news program, "Inside Sarasota"
